Delta CP Reaffirms Zero Tolerance for Corruption, Indiscipline, Urges Professional Policing

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, has reiterated his commitment to discipline, professionalism, accountability and respect for human rights in the discharge of police duties.

Erale gave the assurance on Thursday, October 8, 2026, during a strategic conference with senior police officers of the Command at the State Police Headquarters in Asaba.

During the meeting, the police commissioner emphasised the importance of discipline, intelligence-led policing, professionalism and respect for the fundamental human rights of residents in the state.

He also stressed the need for accountability and adherence to established policing standards, urging senior officers to ensure that these principles guide the conduct of personnel under their supervision.

The commissioner reaffirmed his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption, extortion and other acts of indiscipline, warning against conduct capable of undermining public confidence in the police.

He further reiterated the Command’s commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property, assuring residents of continued efforts to strengthen safety and security across Delta State.

The conference forms part of the Command’s efforts to reinforce professional standards, improve operational effectiveness and promote responsible policing in the state.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, ANIPR, FCIA, FIPMD, the Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Delta State.
