The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, has commended the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) for its contributions to the welfare of police families and its efforts to promote women’s empowerment, child welfare and community development.

Erale gave the commendation when the Chairperson of POWA, Delta State Chapter, Mrs. Samuel Etaifo Iyabo, led members of the association on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The police commissioner acknowledged the sacrifices made by police officers’ wives, noting that their patience, understanding and encouragement play a significant role in supporting officers as they discharge their duties.

He observed that the demanding nature of police work often places considerable pressure on officers and their families, stressing that the stability and support provided by their spouses help boost officers’ morale and commitment to service.
