The appropriation bill for 2022 has been signed into law by Oyo lawmakers

The State Appropriation Bill 2022 was signed into law by members of the Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

The House passed a bill for N294,704,585,356,94 (Ntwo Hundred and Ninety-Four Billion, Seven Hundred and Four Million, Five Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand, Three Hundred and Fifty-Six Naira and Ninety-Four Kobo) for the fiscal year 2022.

The budget was passed in plenary, presided over by Speaker of the Assembly Adebo Ogundoyin, following the reports of the House Committee on Public Account, Finance, and Appropriation.

A total of #155,178,136,971,00 (one hundred and fifty-five billion, one hundred and seventy-eight million, one hundred and thirty-six thousand, nine hundred and seventy-one naira) was approved as capital expenditure.

In his remarks, Speaker of the Assembly Adebo Ogundoyin said the House would do everything in its constitutional power to monitor the budget’s implementation in 2022.

He expressed confidence that the “Budget of Growth and Opportunities” would result in the much-needed growth and development in the state.
