The 2025 Children’s Day celebration at Winners’ Schools was filled with joy, excitement, and heartfelt prayers as pupils embarked on a memorable excursion to the National Children’s Park and Zoo in Abuja. This special event marked Day 2 of their much-anticipated “Adventure Week,” blending education, fun, and community spirit.
Early in the day, concerned parents in the class WhatsApp group inquired about the school closing time. Brother Benedict David of Deeper Life Church clarified that in honor of Children’s Day, pupils had no fixed closing time, emphasizing the day was dedicated entirely to fun, learning, and celebration.
Parents and guardians quickly rallied, flooding the group chat with prayers for safety and thanksgiving. Messages like “May the Lord guide their steps and watch over all of them” and “May the Lord protect you people” reflected the strong communal and spiritual support. Muslim parents also offered prayers in their own way, reflecting the school’s inclusive environment, as Winners’ Schools is home to both Christian and Muslim families.
Excitement reached a peak when Mrs. Onuh E. A., proprietress of Winners’ Schools, shared real-time photo updates from the excursion.
