Hajia Bola Muse Emerges NAWOJ Lagos’ Iconic Woman of the Month

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter, has honoured the Group Managing Director of Bomarah Group, Hajia Bola Muse, as its Iconic Woman of the Month for August.
The recognition, according to the association, is in appreciation of Muse’s exemplary leadership in the maritime and logistics sectors and her sustained humanitarian efforts aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people across Nigeria.
Through her philanthropic organisation, the Bomarah Foundation, Muse has spearheaded several grassroots empowerment initiatives targeting widows, underserved communities and other vulnerable groups.
The foundation’s interventions include financial grants, business start-up kits, food support and sustainable livelihood programmes designed to reduce poverty and promote economic independence among beneficiaries.
NAWOJ Lagos also highlighted the foundation’s welfare packages, legal assistance and rehabilitation programmes for inmates and ex-offenders, as well as scholarship opportunities for students and youths.

Speaking on the recognition, Chairperson of NAWOJ Lagos, Jumoke Falayi-Johnson, commended Muse for combining her corporate achievements with social responsibility.
Falayi-Johnson said Muse’s commitment to human rights, gender advocacy and community development reflected the values underpinning the NAWOJ Iconic Woman initiative.
According to her, the initiative is designed to celebrate outstanding women whose leadership, service and contributions are making measurable impact in society.
She said, “It is commendable that Hajia Muse aligns her corporate success with social responsibility. Her ongoing dedication to human rights, gender advocacy and community development exemplifies the core values of the NAWOJ Iconic Woman initiative.”
