The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee, on Monday, submitted interim report to the Chairman, APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Chairman of the nine member committee,Sen.Abdullahi Adamu in an interview said 47 petition has been summited so far.
He said though the report has been submitted, the party still accommodates more petition from aggrieved members so as to have a fair and balance ground for all.
While receiving the reconciliatary report, the CECPC Chairman Mai Mala Buni who was represented by the former Senate President, Ken Nnamani said the submission of the report is coming at a crucial period as the findings of the committee would contribute in no small measure to a successful convention and the general election.
In another development, a group under the aegis of Ekiti forum today staged a protest at the All Progressive Congress APC National Secretariat in Abuja to call for the cancellation of the party primary that produced Biodun Oyebanji as the APC flag bearer for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship elections.
Addressing Journalists, the coordinator, prince Tunde Jokotola alledged that Oyebanji who is the immediate past secretary to Ekiti government is alleged to be the anointed candidate of the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, adding that the emergence of the former secretary is an imposition to the people of the state as majority are not pleased with it.
He therefore urged that the party revisit the issue if they indeed want to win the Ekiti state governorship elections.
