Danlami Abdullahi Saku, chairman of Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State, died in a catastrophic traffic accident on the Minna-Suleja traffic.
The tragedy happened on Tuesday evening in Kwakwuti, while Saku was on his way to Abuja.
His unexpected demise sent shockwaves throughout the state.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed profound regret at the tragedy, calling it tragic.
