1 min readPresident Muhammadu Buhari has appointed DCG Karebo Samson as the Federal Fire Service’s new Acting Controller General.
SF Ugo Huan, the Federal Fire Service’s Public Relations Officer, said as much in a statement released on Thursday.
According to the PRO, in his address, the Acting Controller General, DCG Karebo Samson thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity to serve while praising the Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for ensuring his emergency as the Acting Controller General.
Acting CG Karebo promised to ensure that the operational department’s men are motivated to do their best in their duties.
He urged officers and men to maintain strict discipline and assured them that he would support them in moving the service forward.
In his remarks, the outgoing Controller General, Dr. Liman Ibrahim, thanked the Nigerian President for the opportunity to serve.

He claimed that President Buhari’s administration has improved the Fire Service from a poor state to a world-class standard.
Dr. Liman praised the Service’s officers and men while urging them to give the Acting CG all the help he needs to succeed.
The Acting CG was also admonished by the retired CG to work on some of the ongoing projects while assuring him of his support whenever he is needed.
