Armed robbers have reportedly killed some persons at the Iwo Road area of Ibadan, just after attacking a bullion van loaded with money being conveyed to Idi-Ape.
It was gathered that the Idi-Ape area of Iwo Road was deserted while the operation by the hoodlums lasted.
A resident of the area, who identified himself as Waheed Adegoke, stated that the robbers attacked a bullion van and carted away with money from it.
Some lives was lost while some other persons sustained injuries from stray bullets.
Another person said the bullion van was successfully hijacked, but none of the unfolded event could be fully confirmed as at the time of filing this report. Efforts to reach the state’s PPRO for more information on the incidence proved abortive.
The resident said motorists parked by the roadside and occupants fled to different places to avoid being shot by the hoodlums.
Policemen from the Area Command at Testing Ground, Iwo Road, were seen at the scene to take stock of the awful event.
