APPMEN Sets October 10 for Lagos Council Inauguration, Appoints Princess Lovely Agbonifo Coordinator, Onome Naomi Publicity Secretary

The Association of Proprietors of Private Media Establishments of Nigeria (APPMEN) has announced the inauguration of its Lagos State Council, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The inauguration will take place at 11am at No. 133 Idimu-Ejigbo Road, adjacent to Christland School, Alimosho, Lagos State.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of APPMEN, Chief Precious Enebuse, the National Working Committee (NWC) announced the appointment of Princess Lovelyn Agbonifo as the Lagos State Coordinator and Onome Naomi Onojaefe as the Publicity Secretary of the Lagos State Council.

According to the statement, Princess Agbonifo, a media entrepreneur and proprietor of a private media establishment in Lagos, will coordinate the affairs of private media proprietors across the state, drive membership and represent the interests of private media establishments.

Onojaefe, as Publicity Secretary, will serve as the official spokesperson of the Lagos State Council and oversee its publicity, communications and public engagement.

The National Secretariat said other members of the Lagos State Executive Council would be announced and inaugurated during the October 10 ceremony.

Speaking on the appointments, Enebuse said Lagos, being a major media hub in Nigeria, required experienced and capable leadership to coordinate the growing number of private media establishments in the state.

He described Princess Lovelyn Agbonifo as a media proprietor who had demonstrated capacity, commitment and leadership, expressing confidence that she would build a strong Lagos State Council.

Enebuse also said Onome Naomi Onojaefe’s experience and professionalism in public communication would contribute to the development and visibility of the council.

The inauguration will also feature the induction of new members comprising private media owners operating in Lagos State.

APPMEN said the National Coordinator, Chief Precious Enebuse, would personally preside over the inauguration alongside members of the National Working Committee.

The association invited proprietors of online newspapers, newspapers, magazines, television stations, radio stations and blogs operating in Lagos State to attend the event and participate in the induction process.
