Women group urged Bala Mohammed to contest for President in 2023
2 min readGovernor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has been urged to contest for president in 2023 by a group of powerful female politicians from across the country.
Under the banner of Nigerian Women for Bala Mohammed Nationwide, the women pledged to rally other women across the 36 states and the FCT to persuade Senator Mohammed to declare his candidacy.
The women said the governor is the best man to succeed President Buhari in a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Mary Ojochide Odoma.
Mohammed, according to Odoma, has big ideas, charisma, and all the necessary leadership skills to pull Nigeria out of its current quagmire.
Senator Mohammed displayed supreme intelligence, creativity, and innovation as FCT Minister, according to Ms Oduma, and his reforms are still being enjoyed in the capital city.
She claimed that the governor had kept up the pace, transforming Bauchi in terms of infrastructure and living standards.
Governor Mohammed, according to Odoma, would have an immediate impact if given the opportunity to lead Nigeria because he has the necessary experience, exposure, and expertise.

She stated that the group, which is made up of people from all political parties, will visit all major Nigerian stakeholders, including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), and General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd).
Senator Iyorchia Ayu, Governor Nyesome Wike, Governor Samuel Ortom, and other notable leaders within and outside the PDP will also be met to ensure that Senator Mohammed not only declares his candidacy, but also receives the PDP ticket to win the presidential election in 2023.
As a result, the women urged Governor Mohammed to throw his hat in the ring so that they could properly mobilize.
