Wike Bags Chieftaincy Title In Enugu, Describes Ugwuanyi As God-fearing Leader
2 min readThe Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council has named Rivers Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike “Agu n’ eche ibe of Enugu State”.
The Chieftaincy title was bestowed on Wike on Monday in Enugu.
Wike, who led members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Council Chairmen, and elders to pay a fraternal visit to Gov. Ugwuanyi in his hometown of Ohom Orba, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, urged the people and leaders of Enugu State to continue to support Gov. Ugwuanyi’s quest for peace and good governance.
He called Enugu Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi a god-fearing leader.
Gov. Wike called Gov. Ugwuanyi “a humble, gentle and good man and one of the PDP’s shining lights in Nigeria”.
“Ugwuanyi is a quiet, humble man who knows what to do at any given time,” said Gov. Wike.
“Gov. Ugwuanyi is not a braggart like me; he is humble and patient. He is a godly man”.
Gov. Wike, who expressed surprise at the number of Enugu State leaders who came to greet him, said Gov. Ugwuanyi deserved praises.
“I am not and will not be a sycophant,” he said. I’m not here to eulogise anyone who shouldn’t be.
“But when you see something good, you say it’s good. When you see something bad, you say it’s bad. I don’t identify with those who harm their people.

“This man (Ugwuanyi) is quiet, humble, and knows what to do at any given time. Gov. Ugwuanyi is not a braggart, he is humble and takes everything gently. He is a devout man.
“I told my brother (Ugwuanyi) I was coming to see him. One of the governors I must see before we start work for the New Year tomorrow (Tuesday) is Enugu State Governor.
“I haven’t danced in any of my travels, but I have to here. This man is a good man in every way”.
