Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami has said the people of Itsekiri would support the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu.
Emami gave the assurance when Ovie Omo-Agege, Delta governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met him.
The Deputy Senate President visited his residence in Ubeji in Warri South Local Government Area, NAN reports.
Emami described Tinubu’s project as an Itsekiri project, noting that he married from the ethnic group.
“Asiwaju’s project is our project; he is an Itsekiri by marriage. Tinubu going for the presidency, I do not think any Itsekiri will vote against him.
“It is a project every Itsekiri will support. I can say categorically that Itsekiris will vote for Asiwaju.”

Stressing that Itsekiri and Urhobo are brothers and sisters, the chief assured that Tinubu, Omo-Agege and other APC candidates will get high votes in 2023.
The mother of Tinubu’s wife, Remi, hailed from Itsekiri while the father is Yoruba.
Born on September 21, 1960, the former Lagos Senator is the youngest of five children of her mother and was raised in Ogun State.
