The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has reacted to what some may have been speculating about his acquisition of properties in Rivers state where he stressed that he was happy and appreciative to God over making such a move with his money, rather than to use it for an ulterior motive.
The governor who spoke in Obio-Akpor, Rivers state while he was commissioning some roads pointed out that he prefers not to use his money in destroying the homes of innocent people, as some may have sought to do.
Wike who noted that he prefers to use his money to acquire properties further added that he loves his people, and will not do anything that will cause them their destruction.

In his words… “I love my people, I love my state, I love my local government, you don’t like your own, you say, oh, I’ve been buying properties. I thank God it’s properties I’m buying, and not destroying homes. It’s better if I have money to buy properties than to take it and go and destroy innocent people’s homes.”
Recall that the former governor of Rivers state has one time revealed that governor Wike had acquired numerous properties in the state.
