2 min readThe Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Mission in Nigeria is highlighting two opportunities for Nigerian agribusiness to attend the Gulfood Show 2022 from February 13-17 and the Agribusiness Trade Mission in Dubai from February 16-21, both hosted by the US Department of Agriculture, as part of its efforts to support the food industry and agribusiness value chain in Nigeria.
The two agriculture trade shows will provide numerous possibilities to meet with enterprises from the United States.
The Gulfood 2022 Show and trade mission aim to boost two-way trade between the United States and other countries across the world. It also gives exhibitors and visitors unrivaled opportunities to learn about new markets, new products, ideas, and innovations.

Nigerian buyers and importers would be able to connect with approximately 100 American exhibitors spanning food, pulses and grains, meat and poultry goods, according to Gerald Smith, Counselor for Agricultural Affairs, US Mission Nigeria.
He explained that the Gulfood Show and trade mission will present Nigerian delegates with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and network “one-on-one” with some of the world’s top decision-makers in the food industry who are looking to connect and do business with international partners.
“The Foreign Agricultural Service stands ready to welcome Nigerian buyers to this opportunity to meet with high-quality American exporters,” Smith added. “Participants will learn about new products and suppliers while keeping up with the current food and beverage industry trends.”
Dairy products, frozen chicken, chilled and frozen red meat, fresh fruit, snack foods, confectionary, packaged foods, dried fruit and tree nuts, potatoes, wine, beer, and fisheries products are among the market opportunities at the Gulfood Show.
The Gulfood Fair is said to be Africa’s and the Middle East’s largest American-focused food and beverage trade show.
