POLICE TRUST FUND PAYS FACT-FINDING VISIT TO LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND.

The management of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund has paid an operational visit to the Lagos State Police Command for an on-the-spot assessment of the needs of the Force.

Receiving the delegation, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, highlighted some of the core operational and welfare needs of officers and men of the command.

Representing the chairman of the Police Trust Fund, IGP Suleiman Abba (Rtd), CP Adepoju Ilori, in charge of Police Accounts and Budget, Force Headquarters, Abuja explained that the visit is a fact-finding one and gave assurances that the Nigeria Police Force in synergy with the Police Trust Fund has earmarked and is still identifying priority projects that would enhance productivity in the Force. CP Ilori further explained that once the identified projects are approved, construction/renovation/procurement will commence in earnest.

The Nigeria Police Trust Fund Act was signed into law on June 24, 2019 for the training of officers of the Nigeria Police Force, the overall improvement in the discharge of the duties of the Nigeria Police and for such other purposes incidental to or connected with the attainment of the mandates of the Force.
