While looking into a reported security breach caused by gunmen believed to be armed robbers in Kubwa Relocation Estate, off the Arab Road region of the territory, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has issued a calm request.
In a statement released on Wednesday, DSP Josephine Adeh, the command’s police public relations officer, said the event happened on Tuesday when the gunmen stormed the area and fired on people, killing one person and kidnapping at least four others.

The rescue of three victims and the recovery of weapons and ammunition, including one AK-47 rifle and 25 rounds of ammo, were the results of the Command’s quick action in an active manhunt on the culprits, according to the PPRO. Police Commissioner Babaji Sunday.
He claimed that preliminary investigations had shown that criminal elements had shot two victims, one named Oshodi and the other named Abdulwahab (other names unknown).
The perpetrators may have taken four victims with them as they left the site in order to avoid being apprehended by the responding police unit that had been dispatched to the area in anticipation of a swift intervention, according to the statement.
“The two gunshot victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention, but unfortunately, one of them, Oshodi, could not survive as he was confirmed dead by the doctor, while Abdulwahab is still being attended to.
“In the meantime, the CP urges restraint, emphasizing that the Command has subsequently deployed operational assets and intelligence to strengthen security throughout the whole Kubwa area and its surroundings.
“He ensures that inquiries have started to identify the suspects, apprehend them, and determine their goals and motivations.
