Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s lawyers have invoked the immunity clause in a paternity suit at the Effurun Division of the Delta State High Court to prevent their client from submitting to a DNA test, Peoples Gazette reports.
It would be recall that on Wednesday, a lawsuit was filed by a 27-year-old man, Emmanuel Moses, alleging that the Lagos governor is his biological father. He alleged that his mother, Grace Moses, told him that Sanwo-Olu sired him. He told the court that his mother and the Governor had a relationship between 1994 and 1995.

He said, “I am 100 per cent sure that I am the son of Governor Sanwo-Olu. I just want to see the man, Sir, as my father.” Emmanuel, who told newsmen that he does “casual jobs” to survive with his wife and three kids, stated that for the past 27 years, he has not seen his father.
According to Emmanuel’s lawyer as posted by Instablog, he said that the Templars Law Firm representing the Lagos governor, had filed a motion to strike out the matter because the governor was not ready to waive his immunity… See excerpts below:
