Oba Onilashe of Ilashe kingdom, Sea Beach marks 3 months on the throne, assures residents of inclusive rulership

His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Abdul Hakeem Adeyimika Olatunde Abisogun (Orofin-Abisogun I), the Onilashe of Ilashe Kingdom/Sea Beach, celebrated three (3) months on the throne in a colourful event observed in Lagos.

Speaking with the press, the king promised to ensure adequate security and rapid developments in the Ilashe Kingdom and to also promote a good standard of living for his people. He urged the residents to always embrace and promote peaceful coexistence among themselves as well as harmonious relationships, which will eventually encourage investors to come to Ilashe to invest, invariably boost economic activities, and create wealth for all and sundry in the kingdom.


Addressing the mammoth crowd that graced the event on Saturday, March 2, 2024, Oba Onilashe assured the people of his commitment to fostering continued collaboration and partnership between the government at all levels and Ilashe Kingdom on one part, as well as with private investors and business magnates, to ensure sustainable development and prosperity in his beloved community. He expressed optimism in his newly enthroned assignments as he lays emphasis on promoting togetherness, unity, progress, and inclusivity to enhance a brighter, more rewarding future for all.

The Onilashe of Ilashe Kingdom, who thanked God for the day and guests, appreciated his wife, other women in the family by extension, and the Kingdom at large for their unalloyed support in ensuring smooth rulership in the 3 months of his reign.

Hon. Ramotalai Akinlola-Hassan, the Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, who attended the occasion, said in her remarks that she was deeply inspired by the rich cultural heritage and traditions on display during the event. Expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness and participate in such a joyous celebration of an esteemed monarch.

In a goodwill message, HRM Oba Engr. Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade. (Ayodele III) Olofin of Isheri, the Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, and Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire wished the king a wonderful celebration and prayed that he would rule his people in good health. He advised the youths to support their king for the growth and progress of the community.

 

The Iya Oba Onilashe, who doubles as the Executive Chairman of the Iru-Victoria Island Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Princess) Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, expressed her profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for giving her the rare privilege of having two of her staff become monarchs under her watch.

She congratulated Oba Onilashe for the successful outing after being in compulsory seclusion for 90 days. She informed Kabiyesi Onikashe that her office doors are open whenever Kabiyesi sees any need for discussion. She also pledged that, as a stakeholder, she would contribute her quota towards the development of Ilashe Kingdom.

On her part, Olori Oluwaseun Adijat Abisogun appreciated her husband and prayed that he would live long on the throne of his forefathers to rule his people and develop the community.

Notable among the dignitaries who graced the event were His Royal Majesty Oba Afeez Oriyomi Shittu, Onibasa of Ibasa and Ijegun Egba Satellite Town and Oguntedo Kingdom, HRM Oba Engr, Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade (Ayodele III). Olofin of Isheri Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire, Hon. Ramotalai Olarenwaju Akinlola-Hassan, the Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Princess) Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, the Iya Oba Onilashe, and the Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island Local Council Development Area, Hon. Wale Rauf Age Sulaiman, the Lagos State House of Assembly Member representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency II, among others.
