Nigeria@63: Put More Effort In Caring For The Nigerian Child – Iche To FG

By Onome Naomi

Layola Heights Integrated School paid a courtesy visit to AMPEF a human rights foundation borne out of equity and fairness as part of their October 1st  outing to commemorate the Nigerian Independence Day.

Comrade Prince Saviour Iche , Founder ” Voice Of The Voiceless Media” and Ambassadors of Peace and Enlightenment Foundation (AMPEF)

Comrade Iche the founder of AMPEF in his speech during the visit notified the Nigerian Govt of the need to take care of the young ones(Nigerian Child) for they are the future generation of the country and their potentials needs to be developed.

Iche said the population of children from Loyola Heights Integrated School has dropped in numbers. Upon enquiry, he discovered that parents are unable to pay school fees due to economy situation and this is now a common issue the Nigerian educational system is facing for those who have their wards in a private school.

The massive dropout in schools is alarming

Iche implores that federal government do everything possible to make sure their parents , the workers, business men and women are being taken care of, Implement the increase of workers salaries. Says the students are faced with psychological trauma for the inability of parents to pay school fees while they see some other of their opportune peers go to school. Some of the disadvantaged ward have reservations for their parents because of the inability to be in school like others.

The government should do everything possible to make Nigerian economy vibrant for parents to comfortably educate the children and care for their other vital needs as they are the future leaders of Nigeria. The children should also know the reason why they are in school, not to waste the effort put by parents.

Comrade Iche also sensitize the teachers on the use of cane or any other form of inhumane corporal punishment as this is no longer accepted in the Nigeria school system.
