MURIC accuses RCCG of preventing Muslims from gaining access to the Redemption camp

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) have accused the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) of banning Muslims from entering the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan highway.

In a statement released by its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, on Wednesday, October 26, they stated that their Muslim brothers and sisters had been repeatedly denied enry to the redemption camp to trade at their banks and check out their centers for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Unified University Entrance Examination (UTME) and others.

According to Prof. Akintola, the group have received numerous complaints from Nigerian Muslims who claimed to be barred from the camp, and said they have evidence to back up this claim.

MURIC also urged the examination bodies and the press to conduct an independent investigation into the case after RCCG denied the allegation.
