Luxury bus driver killed, 21 passengers injured in Lagos-Ibadan crash
1 min readThe Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun has confirmed the death of one person in an early Monday morning crash involving a bus and a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at Nipco filling station, Mowe.
According to FRSC commander Ahmed Umar, 21 people were injured.
Mr. Umar stated that the crash occurred around 5:35 a.m. He claimed that the incident was caused by a speeding truck driver who lost control and collided with a stationary bus. The two vehicles had no registration numbers, according to the FRSC sector commander.

“The truck driver rammed into the stationary bus and killed the driver of the bus who was under the bus trying to rectify some faults discovered from the vehicle. The bus was going outward Lagos to the eastern part of the country before it developed (a) fault,” he said.
The FRSC commander also mentioned that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, and the deceased deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
