The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba has assured Nigerians that the security agency was keen on their protection.

Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi gave the assurance, Tuesday night.

The spokesman was reacting to the worsening insecurity in the country.
Adejobi confirmed that the IGP is in discussion with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on the situation.

The talks are meant to fast track the activation of the Police short code 933 to ease communication and sharing of information.
