Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu has hinted of possible extension of the June 30 continuous voters registration (CVR) deadline.
Yakubu dropped the hint on Saturday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) venue of the Youth Vote Count Mega Concert 2.0 in partnership with the European Union – Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) in Lagos.
“We have heard your requests loud and clear.
“You will soon hear from us on the extension of CVR registration,” he said.
He assured the youth that they will get their permanent voters cards (PVCs).
“Please assure me that you will register, pick your PVCs, and vote.
“I also assure you that your vote will count.”
The concert headlined by Buga crooner Kizz Daniel also featured performances by 2baba, M.I Abaga, Patoranking, Joeboy among others.
