The Senior Special Assistant to President Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on New Media, Jubril Gawat, has denied plans to contest for the 2027 governorship election in Abia or Anambra States.
A 2027 governorship campaign poster of Gawat had emerged online.
The poster said Gawat will be vying for the 2027 Abia State governorship election under the Labour Party, LP.
Reacting, Gawat clarified that he will not be contesting for the governorship position of any state.
Posting on X, he assured of his continued commitment to the progress of Lagos State.
He wrote: “Good evening everyone, Thanks for Sharing my impromptu photo that dropped earlier today, I appreciate. I also wish to clarify that I am NOT vying for any position in Abia or Anambra State or anywhere, either by ‘Residency or Indigeneship’. The progress of every state is important to me, most especially Lagos State.
