Naomi Sophy Blog learnt from the former chairman of Ladipo, HRM. Dr. CC Nwokedi that he got the news of the inferno on the 26th February, 2022 from some social media platforms, after making some findings and discovered it was really a fire outbreak in ladipo, he started making calls to those in authority as well as Fire Service around the place of incidence.
He further expressed his grievances on the government’s unconcern and tribalistic considerations as he promised to go with the management of Ladipo Market to seek the government’s indulgence while he commiserates with those who had lost so much to the inferno particularly one Chief. Chigozie who lost 600million worth of motor parts. He also stated that upon estimation, the goods destroyed will amount to over 4 billion naira, as some persons took bank loans to do auto parts business claimed by the fire incidence while urging that the Lagos state Govt show some level of empathy and support especially to those who have lost it all to the fire.

Chief Chigozie, one of the affected dealer spoke to the press with so much pains about how much he lost to the inferno, according to him, he was called on that faithful day that the whole axis where he sells motor spare parts is on fire, on getting to his shop, he found that his goods were all destroyed, goods which amounted to about 600 million. He also told the press that the fire outburst was planted by someone and to his knowledge there are only 3 security men in guard through out the whole Ladipo Market which isn’t enough to sustain good vigilance.
Also speaking with another Former President General Of Ladipo Auto Central Market, Chief. Amb. Dr. CFC Obi Ugoabata, he acknowledged the presence of HRM Dr. CC Nwokedi, also a former president of Ladipo Market as he expressed his gladness that the Auto market has produced humane men of integrity as is seen here today. He also expressed his sympathy for those whose shops were destroyed in the fire incidence and pleads that the government as one Nigeria, comes to the aid of those affected in a way of compensation at least. To avoid a reoccurrence of the incidence, he suggested that every unit should have an extinguisher as he also appeals to the state government to re equip the fire stations in Lagos state.
Chief. CFC Obi stated that a stakeholders meeting will be called with the inclusion of the present President General of Ladipo Market, Hon. Jude Nwankwo who wasn’t on seat during the visit of the former chairmen, as regards the loss incured to see how the affected dealers can be helped.
HRM Dr. CC Nwokedi as a leader, also contributed that he will call on the Igwe’s in Lagos state to see how they can interfere in the matter to seek the lagos state indulgence, so that these damaging loss will not lead to further increased crime rate, citing examples of a frustrated man who could result to kidnapping or arm robbery or fraudulent means to get back on track monetarily as this is a detrimental issue that needs to be addressed with utmost care, empathy and support.
