They were kidnapped in the early hours of Saturday at Nshe’s Shendam home.

The news came just 24 hours after kidnappers released Charles Mato Dakat, a traditional ruler in the state’s neighboring central zone.

Last Sunday, gunmen kidnapped Dakat from his palace in Gindiri, Mangu LGA.

Nshe’s Shendam associate confirmed the latest incident and expressed regret for the former council boss’s kidnapping.

“Please join us in praying for the release of Dr Nkemi Nshe, who was kidnapped forcibly from his Shendam residence in the early hours of Saturday, January 1, 2022,” he said. The gunmen came to his house in the middle of the night and took him away. They were not compatible with his phone.

“It’s a pity that this happened. We have no idea where they have taken him. However, I learned yesterday evening (Saturday) that the kidnappers had called the family members using the son’s phone number and demanded a ransom of N100 million, which they later reduced to N50 million.
