FCTA urges residents to follow COVID-19 prevention guidelines

On Sunday, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) reminded Abuja residents to keep fighting the Omicron variant of COVID-19 by following preventive measures.
During a visit to some recreation parks in Abuja, Mr Ikharo Attah, the FCT Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection, and Enforcement, made the call.

The purpose of the park visit was to ensure that COVID-19 preventive measures were being followed.
Face masks should be worn in public, social distance should be maintained, and hands should be washed frequently under running water or with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

According to Attah, relevant FCTA agencies are working to control the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant to ensure that it is contained.
He went on to say that the FCT Administration would not tolerate anyone breaking the rules put in place by the government
