A seller at the Alaba International Market was reported to have been the source of an unusual incident in which a customer named “Ebere” found a human private part in her food.
Ebere found a human body part in her soup that resembled that of an infant boy. Traders noticed the finding and subsequently caught the food vendor, accusing her of using human body parts in her cooking.
The vendor, however, rejected the accusations and stated that she had purchased the meat from a market meat vendor. As the unfolding scenario threatened to escalate, market officials stepped in to calm traders down and launch an investigation.

The market’s management had reportedly asked the vendors to remain quiet so as not to tip off the meat vendor, who they hoped to arrest. The meat vendor reportedly does not have a permanent location in the market and instead travels from place to place with his wares.
