Unconfirmed reports had it that the Canadian Government is looking forward to welcome over 1 million Nigerian immigrants into the country.
According to the same reports, it was alleged that the reason behind this is because the Canadian Government is working to combat the country’s staggering labour shortage.
While reacting to the report through its Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada, the Canadian Government has revealed that no part of the report is true. It also said that immigration reference used in the false reports do not exist.

Taking to its official social media page, the IRCC wrote;
“Disinformation is circulating which suggests that Canada is welcoming one million immigrants from Nigeria. This is false, and the immigration program referenced does not exist.”
