Buhari’s Successor Will Come From PDP – Wike, Diri
1 min readSenator Douye Diri, the governor of Bayelsa State, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the only party capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current state of insecurity and economic woes.
When Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike paid him a visit in Yenagoa on Monday, Diri said the PDP had a good chance of producing the President of Nigeria in 2023.
He described the presidency as a sacred office in Nigeria, adding that the PDP has repositioned itself to win the presidency in the general elections of 2023.
“The presidency is a sacred office, and we must do everything we can to protect it and ensure that our party wins the general election in 2023,” he said.

“Unity is the most important aspect of our party.” The second issue is who will be elected president. We have an experienced national chairman who can lead us back to power in 2023.”
Governor Wike expressed confidence in the PDP’s ability to produce Nigeria’s next president in his remarks.
Nigerians, he claimed, were waiting for the party to save them from the country’s current situation, and he stressed that the party’s leaders and members could not afford to miss the opportunity.
