President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
This coming after several outcry by the public, calling for his resignation shortly after purchasing the N100m form of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
The CBN governor have been engulfed in controversies following in ambition of becoming the next president of Nigeria and refusal to resign his position before contesting.
President Buhari had ordered all political appointees seeking to contest in the 2023 general elections to resign.
Recall that Emefiele had approached a Federal High Court in Abuja to prevent the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC from disqualifying him from contesting.

Emefiele however on Tuesday, withdrew the suit he filed against INEC and the Attorney-General of the Federation over his presidential ambition.
