Mr Otokito Federal Oparmiola, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, was kidnapped on January 21 by (Television Nigerian).
On Thursday night, Otokito was kidnapped by heavily armed men from his home in Otuokpoti, Ogbia Local Government Area of the State, according to Television Nigerian.

According to sources, the gunmen stormed the neighborhood around 11 p.m. on Thursday night, firing several shots to frighten residents away before proceeding to Otokito’s home, where he was whisked away to an unknown destination.
When contacted, SP Asinim Butswat, spokesman for the State Police Command, said he was in a meeting and would call back.
