Austin Eguavoen has stepped down as Head Coach of the Nigeria’s National Football Team, Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Evuavoen said he will return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
Reports says Eguavoen has already sent an official letter to the NFF on his resignation.
This development is not unconnected to the early exit of the Super Eagles from the FIFA world cup after they couldn’t defeat the clack stars of Ghana.
However, the embattled Coach is yet to sign the proposed two-year contract for the Super Eagles job which he was handed two days before the first leg of the World Cup play-off against Ghana.
