APC will retain presidency, win North West states – Lukman
2 min readAccording to APC Vice Chairman for the North-West Zone Dr. Salihu Mohammed Lukman, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win back Sokoto state from the Peoples Democratic Party as well as the presidency and the six North-West states. After meeting with the APC state chairmen in the zone on Friday, Salihu spoke to the media and declared that the party is prepared to launch its campaigns for the zone’s candidates for president, governor, the National Assembly, and state assemblies.
“We are reminded that our party’s North-West Zone continues to be its foundation. We assessed our state-by-state preparedness and examined national trends, and we are confident that the APC will win the North-West zone by a landslide. We are organizing ourselves and conducting the voting as usual. We don’t fear winning; we’re confident that the APC will take the center and all of our northwestern states, including Sokoto state. We have agreed to present some recommendations from the presidential campaign council regarding what needs to be done as the APC presidential campaign in the North-West zone will get underway from Kaduna on December 12. The zone’s stakeholder meeting should make a proper plan for the launch of the campaign in the north-west. For the area along Independence Way, we have secured a presidential campaign office; it should be ready in a week, Salihu said.

“As it stands right now, the North-West continues to be the foundation of our party in the nation, and we must make every effort to show that during the campaign. We don’t currently feel threatened by our ability to win over voters in the North-West. By God’s grace, the APC will continue to rule the nation and all of our states, including Sokoto, which is currently not one of our states but that we intend to reclaim.
