AMPEF, a notable human rights organization known as the “Voice of the voiceless” for vulnerable persons, made a debut at the annual end of the year event on 16th December 2023.
Ambassador For Peace And Enlightenment Foundation (AMPEF) in retrospect is a multiple award winning organization incorporated under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, saddled with safeguarding the human and civil rights of every citizen in Nigeria.
The annual human rights day event commenced with activities such as talent hunt for youths (singers and dancers), commissioning of apartments for the homeless, quiz competitions, indigenous musical displays, presentation of awards to journalists / human rights advocates and other forms of entertainment. Youths who participated in the talent hunt won cash prices as the vice president of AMPEF Comrade Ikechukwu also made his intentions known about giving a little female dancer scholarship for 2-years.
Journalists/ Human Rights Advocates/ Police Officers awarded includes: Comr. Ikechukwu Ezegbokan V(Vice President AMPEF), Cyriakus Iziekwe ( Crime Editor PM Express), Juliana Francis, Peter Claver, Comr Aderemi Blessing, Comr. Leye Olufemi Solomon , Insp. Funsho Fayoun OC Human Rights Isheri Police Division and Assistant.
During the commissioning of the apartment, the founder of AMPEF Comr. Prince Saviour Iche said the one bedroom self- contain is meant for a woman and her children rendered homeless by Lagos landlord for being unable to renew rentage. He said AMPEF is embodied with not only the fight for people’s right, but also protect people’s right as well as give charity to the needy. To this course AMPEF has provided a woman and her children an apartment to stay without rent for 2yrs or more until the family is fit to cater for expenses, says it is the duty of the government to provide shelter for the homeless and helpless but has not been forthcoming with such plans in budget, hence as individuals who have the capacity, it is paramount that we be of help in people’s time of need, Iche stated.
Iche further said:
Time and time again AMPEF have helped those with emergency situations of homelessness and some sort of vulnerabilities. We do not have billions but will always create solutions both financially and materially for the needy with our little personal resources.
Engr Adeshina Israel Chairman, progressive CDA kudeyibu Estate, Ijegun- Community Development Council Executive,Igando/Ikotun LCDA commended the effort of Comrade Saviour Iche for seeming it thoughtful to provide the helpless with such level of magnanimity as he proceeds to commission the apartments. He also noted that Iche’s effort is a trigger to follow suit, promises to also look into such matters and proffer solutions such as this.
Appreciates Comrade Iche for setting standards, says he’s not the richest yet he has helped people. Speaks on funding projects to build apartments for individuals/ families in situations of homelessness.
Comrade Ikechukwu Ezegbokan the Vice President, Ambassador For Peace and Enlightenment Foundation ( AMPEF) expressed gladness at the turn out of events in celebration of the human rights day. Says AMPEF celebrates the annual event to commend comrades for a job well done in the fight for humanity.

He said this year’s event is particularly significant, it includes: commissioning of apartments for the homeless, awards presentation to outstanding professionals and talent hunt event to showcase the Nigerian youths. Says the unexpected awards presented to him will spur for more commitment to the course of the foundation. With the charitable act established by AMPEF in giving out free apartments, Ikechukwu also revealed personal effort made in his village where he established housing projects for the needy.
