It’s in records that the magnanimous Eze Chika Nwokedi Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo Chairman Council of Ezes in Lagos, President Ndigbo Buru’Otu Association of Nigeria, and former chairman of the Ladipo International Spare Parts Market observed his 3rd anniversary on the throne on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, and succeeded the event with a thanksgiving service at the Fire Grace and Mercy Restoration Ministry Ijegun on Sunday, March 8th, 2025.
The thanksgiving service had charitable events by Eze Chika as he also preached the advantages of thanksgiving. His testimonials, as conveyed in an inspirational message to the congregation, suggest that it is better to give thanks while alive than allow strangers to hold a thanksgiving service at a person’s demise. Says the act of thanksgiving spurs God to do more, especially provisional assistance.
Eze Chika noted that the act of magnanimity he displays is inborn and considered a mere act done willingly to achieve fulfillment of purpose. He encouraged the listening congregation to be steadfast in thanksgiving; nobody on earth can be considered perfect, but appreciate God in any given situation, whether it’s good or bad.
Giving instances, Eze Chika revealed secrets to his success, saying he started his early life as a trader in the Ladipo market; he had no home and, however, slept in his shop. Achieving recognition and greatness for him, he says, is expected, for he never stopped giving, especially during his down moments, which greatly helped in achieving a higher feat.
Eze Chika Nwokedi noted that his philanthropic prowess paved the way for his selection by election as Chairman of Ladipo International Market in 1999. He told the congregation that being a billionaire is not a criterion for charity unto others, he quoted James 4:17 to buttress his points, dwelling more on the importance of thanksgiving.
During the Thanksgiving service, Eze Chika expressed his calling by demonstrating philanthropy as he rewards a member of the church who works as a cleaner for a living with the sum of N20,000 plus a stipend of N20,000 monthly. He also rewarded another sick woman with the sum of N20,000 to support her medical bills in promise he will do more if the need arises.
Thr service was attended by two chiefs from Eze Chika’s cabinet of chiefs, executive members of Igbo speaking community Ijegun Ijeododo, friends and well-wishers. The occasion was also graced by a special band as well as ministrations from choristers of Fire Grace and Mercy Restoration Ministry chaperoned by the founder Ugoeze Pst (Amb) Tessy Chika Nwokedi.
