Ahead of the 2023 general election, an analysis of the preliminary register shows that the six statesLagos, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, Katsina and Oyo have the most registered voters.
Lagos leads with 7,075,192 registered voters, followed by Kano, which has 5,927,565 registered voters, while Kaduna, Rivers, Katsina and Oyo have 4,345,469; 3,532,990; 3,519,260 and 3,275,045 registered voters, respectively.
This discovery follows the announcement by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, that the electoral roll has gone up to 93.5 millionpeople.

Yakubu said so on Wednesday during a quarterly meeting of the commission with political parties in Abuja.
He also said that the commission is working hard to ensure the completion of the remainingpermanent voter card printing for new voters, adding that Nigerians will soon be informed of the detailed plan to ensure smooth PVC collection.
